Terms of Use
Effective October 21, 2026 · Version 2026-10-21
These terms are an agreement between you and Takeoff Training LLC, a Colorado company (“Takeoff Training”, “we”), for using the Takeoff Training website, the Takeoff Coach program, and the lessons, quizzes and tests in them (together, “the Service”). If you sign up for a company, you agree to these terms for that company too. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Takeoff Training is in testing. Features may change, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable.
1. Accounts
- Companies sign up and add their employees. Each person gets their own sign-in, linked to their company. Company admins can see their people’s training results and manage who is in their company.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Don’t share accounts. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
- Give accurate information. Learners must be at least 16 and enrolled by their employer.
- A company that enrolls people confirms it has the right to give us their information for training, and is responsible for its users’ use of the Service.
2. eTakeoff Dimension
Takeoff Training is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by eTakeoff, LLC. eTakeoff and eTakeoff Dimension are trademarks of their owner. To use the Service you need your own properly licensed copy of eTakeoff Dimension, and you must follow its license. Takeoff Coach reads your training project to check your work. It doesn’t change your projects.
3. Your license to use the Service
We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own (or your company’s internal) training while your account is active. You may install Takeoff Coach on computers you use for that training. You may not:
- copy, sell, resell, rent or share the Service, the coach, or the lessons, quizzes and tests;
- share test questions, tasks or answers, or help anyone else cheat on a test;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the coach (except where the law allows this anyway), or work around its checks;
- scrape or bulk download the Service, break or overload it, or try to reach data you aren’t allowed to see;
- use the Service in breaking the law or anyone’s rights.
The coach includes open-source software under its own licenses, listed on our Notices page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
4. Tests and results
Test results show how someone did on our tasks at that time. They aren’t a license, certification or guarantee of skill, and they aren’t issued or endorsed by eTakeoff. We may void a result if a test wasn’t taken fairly, for example by someone other than the account holder.
5. Fees
The Service is free while it’s in testing. When we start charging, we’ll tell companies the prices and terms (including renewals and cancellations) before any charge. Payments will be taken by card through a payment processor. We won’t charge anyone without telling them first.
6. Our content
Takeoff Training LLC owns the Service, including the coach, the website, and the lessons, quizzes and tests. All rights not given to you in these terms are reserved. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Your data
Your company’s training records belong to your company and its people. We use them as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time on My training.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other people at risk. We’ll give notice where we reasonably can. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 continue after an account closes.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Training helps people learn the software. It doesn’t guarantee the accuracy of any real takeoff, estimate or bid. You’re responsible for checking your own work on real projects.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Takeoff Training won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you or your company paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.
11. Indemnity
You (and, for company accounts, your company) agree to cover Takeoff Training’s reasonable costs from claims that arise from your breaking these terms or misusing the Service.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll ask you to agree to it when you next sign in. If you keep using the Service after a change, that means you accept it.
